A downloadable game

11/11/2025: Making this Public because why not. What are you gonna do, steal 6 hours of amateur work in Godot and Blender? 

  • Press "R" to reset (in case of stuck. Otherwise, just die and you'll go back to a checkpoint)
  • WASD moves, space jumps
  • Hold left click to charge your swing - it takes around 1.5 seconds to fill your BONK meter. 
  • Release left click (when aiming at a surface within range) to blast yourself away from the point of impact.

This is a very basic demo for Hammer Slammer (working title), a game that started because of my desire to reproduce the "laser jump" I loved so much as a kid playing Nexuiz (now Xonotic). The "Laser" was, bizarrely, a projectile weapon that dealt almost no damage, moved so fast it didn't require any leading, and imparted a very high force within its tiny blast radius. That meant that the only real way to use it was to shoot directly at your feet for an off-brand rocket jump. It really had no place being a gun, so I changed it to a hammer. 

Movement is Warsow-like here. Air friction is super low and air acceleration is non-negligible, so you can bunnyhop to gain speed. Movement does NOT have the Quake vector addition goof, so you can't actually airstrafe, strafejump or circlejump.
